The Heropreneurs Awards, established in 2018 to celebrate the extraordinary achievements of the military community in business, have been brought online for 2021.

The awards are a chance to shine for all within the military community, from start-up ventures, military spouses and charities to international businesses.

A total of nine awards will be made this year, including two new awards – ‘Product of the Year’ and ‘Sustainable Business of the Year’. All entries will also be considered for ‘Heropreneur of the Year’.

Prizes include 100 per cent bursaries for a Warwick Business School MBA or Executive Diploma; free gold membership, worth £10,000, for a veterans’ job platform; and a £20,000 grant from the Veterans’ Foundation.

Gen Sir John McColl KCB, CBE, DSO, KSt, chairman of the judges, said: “Entrepreneurs are a distinctive breed requiring initiative, determination, the ability to solve problems of all kinds and resilience. These are qualities that are imbued in those who serve. I would urge all ex-service entrepreneurs to get involved and consider nominating themselves.”

Nominations are open until 11 June. Visit heropreneurs.co.uk/heropreneurs-awards/nominations to see full details of each award category and to submit your entry. Winners will be announced from August.
