Mum-of-two and former primary school teaching assistant Mayra Clay uses compassion and imagination in her storytelling to help children learn how to recognise and express their emotions.

Mooving tale
Daisy is the pantomime cow for the local theatre group. With her own song that all the family can sing along to, she has always been everyone’s favourite.
But when the building used for the pantomimes closes, all the scenery and props are no longer needed, leaving Daisy destined for the bin.
The local librarians are heartbroken, and devise a plan to rescue Daisy from her fate. Will they be able to come together and save the beloved pantomime cow?
Army veteran Babs Vinden-Cantrell is the author of four children’s picture books. Daisy the Pantomime Cow is based on her childhood, in which she was a dancer in several professional pantomimes.
Three lucky readers could each win a copy of Daisy the Pantomime Cow.
The closing date is 1 November 2026.
Talking tanks
For the first time, The Tank Museum will be joined by acclaimed historians and broadcasters Al Murray and James Holland on a London stage exploring the history – and future – of the tank.
Taking to the Royal Geographical Society’s Ondaatje Theatre in November, Al Murray, James Holland and Tank Museum experts will examine the role of the tank across some of the most significant conflicts of the last century, including the First World War, the Second World War and the Cold War.
In addition to covering the last century’s significant armoured conflicts, speakers will look to the future and consider the changing nature of warfare and whether the tank will continue to dominate tomorrow’s battlefields.
Admission tickets are £35, and Friends of The Tank Museum save 20% on tickets. Tickets are available at tankmuseum.org/thetankstory
One reader can win a pair of tickets to The Tank Story on 28 November at 7.30pm.
The closing date for entries is 1 November.
