The Elephant Crossing, published by Matriarch Publishing, priced £10.

Author Justine McGrath and artist Justine Simpson Worboys share a love of creativity that has endured since their school days. They have just published their first children’s book together entitled ‘The Elephant Crossing.’ Justine is an army spouse whose husband serves with 1 YORKS in Warminster.

Both writer and artist are hoping lots of children will enjoy their story of a young boy on his first African safari.  Army&You asked eight-year-old Alexander Crowe-Urbaniak to review the book for us and here’s what he said:

“The Elephant Crossing tells the story of a boy called Jack who witnesses an amazing event whilst on safari in Africa with his family. He sees a herd of elephants attempting to cross a river but the river is a dangerous place for elephants, especially for a young calf who is keen to show off!

“I liked this book because it took me on an elephant adventure and taught me how resourceful and clever elephants can be. I would rate it 10/10 and would recommend this book for children aged 7 to 10 years old.”
