DIG out the barbeque and dust off those garden chairs, Dig In North West is declaring July the month of the garden party!
The organisation operates a walled garden in Preston for soldiers and veterans to grow fruit, vegetables and flowers in a traditional garden, or just relax and chat with others who have served.
Now it is encouraging you to host your own event in support of its work for our heroes.

Taking part is simple no matter where in the world you are and every penny raised is greatly appreciated.
From a coffee morning in your garden, a family barbeque or a full-blown Pimms and tiara gala for the whole squadron, this really can be as simple or as sparkly as you wish – and it’s a great opportunity to raise a few pounds for a worthy cause.
So let’s make the most of summer while supporting our soldiers too!
