VITAL funding for a families’ day, homecoming or show overseas is up for grabs through the Forces Live Events (CSE) Beneficiary Fund, which is now open for applications from the military community.

Over the past four years, CSE has hosted an array of service show-stoppers – with families from 27 Regiment RLC in Aldershot among those treated with activities and entertainment.

Troops in operational areas have also benefited from the fund’s far-reaching and morale-boosting shows. The CSE team delivered a whistle-stop tour across three locations in the Middle East in January – allowing troops to relax, socialise and take their minds away from missing home – and have starred in the South Atlantic, having travelled 8,000 miles to the Falkland Islands.

Nearly 1,000 soldiers on exercise in Estonia formed the biggest crowd to date, with the smallest audience being a group of 20 veterans at a UK rehabilitation centre.

Angie Avlianos, of CSE, said: “We are delighted to announce that applications are now open. Every year we get some of the most amazing applications and it’s wonderful to be able to bring these requests to life and spread joy to so many people within the armed forces community.”

Since its creation in 2015, the CSE Beneficiary Fund, part of BFBS, has delivered 150 events, shows or tours for approximately 22,500 serving military, their families and veterans.
