Operation Bletchley is a virtual codebreaking challenge brought to you by ABF The Soldiers’ Charity. This summer, immerse your family in the 1940s, meeting real-life secret agents and codebreakers who helped win the Second World War.

Cover 50 or 100 miles on foot and decipher the coded messages before time runs out. It’s a mission for all the family that can be completed at home by using your phone or fitness tracker.

There are two routes to choose from. Complete the 50-mile London mission making contact with key agents to solve puzzles along the way. Can you figure out the code and deliver the message to Winston Churchill in the Cabinet War Rooms before it’s too late? Or, if 50 miles isn’t long enough, why not try the brand new 100-mile Paris mission? Your virtual route will take you from Bletchley Park to the heart of Nazi-controlled France to link up with resistance fighters across the country.

There are three levels of codes available: junior, codebreaker and cypher expert. Get the whole family together this summer to complete one of these fascinating missions. The challenge runs from 1 st – 31 st July.

Does your family have what it takes to cover the distance, crack the codes and deliver the final message in time?
