RESEARCHERS at King’s College London are shining a spotlight on the topic of maternal mental health in the military community.

The study, which is being supported by AFF and the other families federations, will explore the realities of pregnancy and early motherhood for both serving women and those with a partner in the UK armed forces.

With the nomadic nature of service life and separation from family among the additional pressures faced by military mums, the research will help to shape the care afforded to them by health services.

If you’re pregnant or up to 12 months postnatal and have a partner in the armed forces, you may be eligible to take part in the College’s online survey. Find out more at kcmhr.org/wow-study or email wowstudy@kcl.ac.uk
