FANCY putting your best foot forward to tackle a unique walk in picturesque Scotland while raising money for a super Services charity? Walking With The Wounded’s Balmoral Challenge is the event for you – and you could win an entry for yourself and three friends!
The Challenge, proudly presented by Artemis, takes place from 22-23 June and pits teams of four against one of three beautifully challenging routes, all starting and finishing in front of Her Majesty The Queen’s Scottish residence, Balmoral Castle.
The exciting routes include:
- Triple Crown – The big one. A 30km race back to Balmoral over three Munros from a secret drop-off.
- Prince’s Stone – The thinking one. Min 20km – Max 40km. How many points can your team collect within 9 hrs? Test your team’s strategy while exploring the wilder parts of the Balmoral Estate – will you gamble or make it back in good time after finding the historic Prince’s Stone.
- The Cairn Chaser – The wee one. A 15km foray exploring the cairns in the forests above the castle.
Entrants will get to walk alongside, and be inspired by, wounded ex-Servicemen and women from across Scotland and the Challenge is a fine way for your team (or organisation) to mark Armed Forces Day and also the centenary of the end of World War 1.
The event raises vital funds to support ex-servicemen and women back into independence, as well as helping to expand Walking With The Wounded’s programmes across Scotland. To find out more or to register your team, visit www.wwtw.org.uk/Balmoral.
For your chance to win a place for a team of four in this fantastic event, simply complete the following form before entries close at midnight on Monday, February 26. Entrants’ email addresses will be added to Walking With The Wounded’s mailing list to receive details about the event.
