FORCES TV has launched a new-look schedule of military-themed drama, comedy, documentaries and news.

The free-to-air channel is screening top US Special Forces drama The Unit alongside classic comedy shows M*A*S*H, which will air at 8pm each weeknight, and Hogan’s Heroes.

Forces TV is also the only UK channel currently showing The Unit as well as comedy series The Phil Silvers Show.

Simon Bucks, chief executive of SSVC, which runs Forces TV, said: “The new schedule is an entertaining mix of great military-themed programmes.”

Actor Ross Kemp added: “Having spent a lot of time with the Forces I know how important it is for them to feel informed and connected whether they’re at home or abroad. The Forces TV and BFBS network not only helps to provide this but also delivers a great mix of news and entertainment.”

Documentary production will continue with a series on Special Forces Heroes and there will be a new military technology show exploring the latest frontline gadgets and hardware.

The channel exclusively broadcast The Sun Military Awards earlier this year. Forces News journalists around the world will continue to provide regular bulletins of the latest stories involving British Servicemen and women as well as extensive coverage of major events including the Invictus Games in Florida, Armed Forces Day and the Army v Navy rugby match.
