THIS week is Carers Week and Army&You wants to highlight those who are often forgotten, but who offer a vital service in their community and to their loved ones, a silent army – the carers.

The Help for Carers in the Armed Forces Project is a collaboration between Healios, Wiltshire Mind and the Army Families Federation, funded by the Forces in Mind Trust.

The project offers support, information and skills training to family and friends of the Armed Forces community who support people with serious mental health illness such as post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety and schizophrenia.

Up to 12 individual, 40-minute sessions with a clinician are available, delivered over the internet using video link or by telephone to provide high-quality support from where you feel most comfortable. All sessions are private and confidential.

There’s still time to get involved

This project is still recruiting participants and would like to hear from you if you think it may be of benefit to you and your family.
