SSAFA’s  Community Health Team, who are based in Cyprus, organised a meet & greet session for the families from 1 RIFLES, who recently moved from Chepstow, South Wales to Dhekelia, Cyprus.

The get-together was an ideal opportunity for parents new to Cyprus to give their first-hand experiences of the eRedbook.

The eRedBook is a digital personal child health and development record that can be accessed wherever the family is. The Community Health Team has been providing the eRedBook to military families posted overseas, using funding from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust.

This event in Cyprus was titled ‘With Cake’ after a local pâtisserie created the cake to look like an eRedbook.

SSAFA Health Visitor Ceri Henderson said: “It was a great opportunity to meet those who had recently arrived and see how they were settling into life on the beautiful but still very hot island of Cyprus.”
