Nominations are open for the 2025 Soldiering On Awards, marking 15 years of celebrating extraordinary achievements of people in the armed forces community.

There are 12 categories covering everything from family values and animal partnership to health and rehabilitation, business start-ups and community impact.

Chief Executive Lt Col Ren Kapur MBE said: “Soldiering On Awards is much more than an event — it is a collective celebration of service, resilience and achievement that brings together individuals, the MOD, military charities and corporate partners.

“We are excited to hear the 2025 stories that will mark this milestone year and further inspire us all.”

Previous award winners have included the team behind Hero Paws, which supports military dogs in retirement, and Gurkha Hari Budha Magar MBE, who lost both legs in an explosion while serving in Afghanistan and went on to become the first double above-knee amputee to summit Mt Everest.

Awards patron Earl Howe GBE PC urged the public to put their heroes forward. “Many inspirational individuals, teams and organisations remain unrecognised, so I encourage everyone to ask themselves: Who do you know? By nominating someone, could you uncover one of these unsung heroes and thereby ensure their story is celebrated?”
