BASED in Gütersloh, Germany, our guest reviewer and Army wife Hanna Hindmarsh told Army&You what she thought of Box Upon a Time, a subscription box service…

FREYAWhen the box arrived I couldn’t wait to see what goodies were inside for my little girl. The items were all wrapped beautifully in white tissue paper sealed with a card which tells you which stylist compiles your selection of clothes. I really liked this as it made it feel more like a gift.

I received three items of clothing, each one from a different ‘high end’ company. Inside there was an itemised list stating how much each item would have cost at the recommended retail price – which showed that the box was an excellent saving in my opinion!

The smock top was a lovely thick material with a good amount of stretch to it. I received 6-12 month clothing for my seven-month-old and all three items fitted her just right with a little growing room.

One of the baby grows is pink striped with a little pale pink Peter Pan collar featuring a small stitched rabbit. The fabric feels so soft and, according to the company, it uses hand-picked sustainable cotton from Peru. The third item was my favourite. It comes from a French company that specialises in baby couture clothing and is hand stitched. It’s a lovely, subtly-coloured baby grow with an organza collar.

Overall I was very impressed with the quality of the clothing. It all washes and irons brilliantly and looks superb on my little girl Freya (pictured above).

Box Upon a Time is available for a one-off gift or monthly or quarterly subscription. Boxes for both boys and girls up to three years old start from £29 and can be delivered across the UK and via BFPO overseas. To find out more, go to www.boxuponatime.co.uk
