The Military WAGS Choir Catterick, together with Muker and Reeth Bands in Swaledale, have pooled their musical talents to create an exciting new single and album to support Help for Heroes.

CHOIRHarmonies For Heroes stemmed from a song, Dancing With You, written by co-producer Jill Lundberg and is available to download now on iTunes.

As a Forces wife for 17 years, her lyrics are inspired by the experiences of military wives and girlfriends and how singing and music helps them cope when their partners are away from home.

All proceeds go to the new Help For Heroes Phoenix House Recovery Centre, which will incorporate an area for performing arts with space for a theatre as well as specialist sport facilities. Jill said: “We have been overwhelmed with the very generous offers of support for the project, and of course the enthusiasm and professionalism of the choir and band members.”

The project has recently received backing from Conservative MP for Richmond, William Hague. He said: “This project appeals to me in so many different ways. It will be great if people could give their support through buying this album. They’ll enjoy it but they’ll also be supporting looking after our heroes for a long time to come.”
