THE Big Secret Sound featuring Andrew James have released a single, Soldier On, in memory of Private Conrad Lewis, a soldier from Warwickshire who was a member of the Parachute Regiment and the 353rd soldier to be killed in Afghanistan.

Soldier On is the embodiment of moving forward after loss. While it is inspired by the life and loss of Private Conrad Lewis, mentioned in Dispatches for his bravery, it also remembers all soldiers who have lost their lives in conflict. Proceeds from the sales of the single will go to military charity 353… which was set up in his honour by his family, with the aim of helping members of the military community.

Written by Chris Onslow, and composed and performed by ‘The Big Secret Sound featuring Andrew James’, the song was recorded in Warwickshire and seeks to engage all those who are or have been in conflict and the general public both here and abroad who continue to support our Servicemen and women.

Tony Lewis said: “I am overwhelmed and humbled by the support shown to us. All we need is 7,500 downloads and Soldier On would make the Top 40, raising much needed funds for the charity and help to recognise all our brave troops.

“On behalf of 353 trust, my family and all the soldiers around the world, I would like to thank Andrew and Chris for giving their creativity, time and commitment to produce such a breath-taking song. I know Conrad would download it if he could.”

Soldier On is available to download from iTunes now. To find out more, please visit www.353.org.uk
