DO you have an old mobile phone lying around at home? Why not donate it to Good Morning Britain’s Phones For Food campaign and turn it into at least two healthy breakfasts for a child in the UK?
More than one million kids currently go to school without having any breakfast and many are too hungry to learn. Eating a healthy breakfast helps to improve a child’s concentration, behaviour, attendance, punctuality and educational attainment.
The Magic Breakfast charity already feeds more than 22,000 children each morning, but its waiting list is growing.
This new initiative is working with the charity to give free, nutritious meals to hungry school children across the UK through school breakfast clubs.
The campaign runs until the 22 October. To take part, drop off any unwanted mobile phones at your local Poundstretcher store.
Other ways to donate, including posting direct and getting your school involved, can be found on the ITV website.
