Applications have opened for two of the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust’s programmes dedicated to helping military families.
Serving Families: On the Move is offering grants of £5,000 to £50,000 for projects that support families when they are settling into new locations.
The aim is to encourage connection, help build networks and strengthen family relationships, ensuring armed forces communities are not left at a disadvantage.
Bases, units, community interest companies and local authorities can apply. There are two deadlines – 23 July and 17 December.
Over the past two years the Supporting Partners Programme has awarded more than £1.5m on behalf of the MOD to schemes that help the partners of service personnel navigate the challenges of military life.
Now it’s offering grants of between £10,000 and £70,000 for projects that have a range of outcomes, including improving the mental health and wellbeing of partners and making service providers more aware of the unique challenges they face.
Information and support
The trust says improving access to information and support, especially for those returning to work or changing careers could significantly enhance partner wellbeing. The Supporting Partners programme addresses this need by enhancing the support available to them.
Funding applications for projects that last between one and two years need to be submitted by noon on 23 July. More details about this and other programmes are available on the trust’s website.
