CONGRATULATIONS to North Yorkshire County Council, which has been nominated as a finalist in the Children & Young People Now Awards 2015.

The Council made the shortlist the Family Support Award and the Partnership category in recognition of its work on school to school transfer and Army rebasing, which involved trips to Hohne and Gütersloh. It also successfully gained emergency MOD support fund grants for two schools.

Its excellent working relationship with the MOD proved to be invaluable during a period of great change and ensured that our Service families had the very best support throughout.

The Children & Young People Now Awards have become the gold standard for everyone working with children, young people and families. Now in their tenth year, these awards provide a great source of pride and recognition for all those who strive to improve the lives of others. They offer an opportunity to raise the profile of projects and initiatives to funders and the general public.

The ceremony takes place in London on 26 November. Find out more at www.cypnawards.com
