Little Troopers, a charity which supports children from military families, has opened applications for a weekend of coastal activities. This residential is for 13 to 16-year-olds from serving and reservist families, with a parent who is deployed.
The residential weekend will take place on Portland, Dorset from 5pm on Friday, 24 May until 3pm on Sunday, 26 May 2024. This is a wonderful opportunity for teens to get active, have adventures, learn new skills and connect with other teens in the same situation.
The activities on offer include coasteering, coastal bushcraft, kayaking, mega SUPing, fire building, swimming, a beach evening and raft building. This is a fully funded and catered for residential.
The weekend is part of the Little Troopers All Together project, aiming to bring together military children who have had similar experiences and changes in their lives.
Louise Fetigan, the founder of Little Troopers, said: “This will be our fourth residential weekend and it’s going to be extra special. There are lots of amazing activities that many teens won’t have done before. We can’t wait to get stuck in.” For more information and to register, visit surveymonkey.com/r/dorsetresidential
