A poem by Jennifer Mary Jones
They fell from the sky,
As beautiful raindrops,
Cascading downwards
As far as the eye can see.
A streamlined symbol of solidarity.
Each separate yet somehow one.
Like a firework
And as impressive.
Like a waterfall
Of canvas and man.
Peace fell from the sky,
As leaves in Autumn.
Warmth on their backs,
Thin air all around.
Each one a person,
One of Earth’s creations.
Each one so loved.
Each one a soldier.
