IS your soldier due to go away for a while? Why not have them record a special bedtime story for your little ones?
Storybook Soldiers is a voluntary organisation that offers your soldier the chance to choose from more than 50 children’s titles to record for your child while they are away.
Keeping the bond with mum or dad
Your child will receive their very own CD of the chosen story, allowing them to hear their parent’s voice and ensuring mum or dad remains part of the daily routine back home.
Your soldier can start and end with a personal message for your child before reading from a selection of titles including The Gruffalo, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Aliens Love Underpants and many more.
Storybook Soldiers is a free, confidential service, funded by ABF The Soldier’s Charity, Annington Trust and the Army Central Fund. Your child should receive their special CD within four weeks of recording.
