THE National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire, the UK’s year-round centre for Remembrance, will launch a packed programme of seasonal events on Sunday 1 December with a day of festive fun for all the family.

RobinAttractions include a Christmas market, music, an appearance from Santa, Christmas craft activities and a festive fancy dress competition.

Throughout December the Arboretum, which is part of The Royal British Legion family of charities and free to enter, will host a variety of seasonal events and activities.

A special Christmas tree will be on display in the visitor centre, on which stars personalised with visitors’ messages will be hung. A number of winter wildlife walks are scheduled and visitors can participate in a fun family bauble trail.

SantaHighlights of the Arboretum’s seasonal programme include tea with Santa and his elves and the chance to make festive goodies in Santa’s workshop. Go along to the candlelit carol concert; the magical event “Twas the night before Christmas”; or even treat your family to an indulgent three course Boxing Day feast (charges apply).
