SSAFA Cyprus is recruiting for new foster carers on the island to support Service children in need.
Army families face many pressures due to life in the military, particularly when it comes to being posted overseas; sometimes parents experience problems which mean their children are temporarily unable to live with them.
During this time, children may need short-term foster care whilst their families are assisted with these problems.
Fostering support
The SSAFA Cyprus Social Work Team operates across all military bases and offers a full foster care service including the recruitment, assessment and supervision of foster carers.
Registration can take as little as six months and once you’re registered, it’s something you can continue to do when you return to the UK.
Foster caring can be a hugely rewarding experience and a great way to support your military community.
