COMBAT Stress has beaten four other charities for the title of Rewards for Forces Charity of the Year 2014, earning it a £5 donation from every Rewards for Forces card sale for the next 12 months. In the first month alone more than £3,000 has been raised!

Rewards for Forces is free to join, and offers discounts and benefits to members of the Armed Forces, veterans and partners of those serving or who have served.

The discount card  entitles members to access discounts on the high street with companies such as Frankie and Bennys, Burtons Menswear, Road Chef and many more.

Supporting our veterans

Founded in 1919, Combat Stress currently supports more than 5,400 people. It specialises in the care of veterans’ mental health attributed to their time spent in conflict for our country. The charity provides specialist trauma-focused treatment, support in the community and a 24-hour helpline (0800 138 1619).

Over the years, it has supported more than 100,000 ex-Servicemen and women including Reserve Forces.

Managing Director of Rewards for Forces, Peter Raith, says: “We are so proud to welcome Combat Stress as our Charity of the Year 2014.

“As the charity celebrates its 95th anniversary this year, we are delighted to celebrate its successes as well as shine a light on the fantastic work they do and promote the services that are available to our members. Talking about mental health can be difficult and we feel that our work with the charity will support those who may need help but are afraid to ask.”
