STACEY2X-FACTOR star Stacey Solomon was the star attraction as 150 bereaved British Forces children travelled to London Zoo for Scotty’s Little Soldiers’ safari-themed Christmas party.

The award-winning charity’s third annual festive event offered the youngsters the chance to meet the singing sensation as well as visit Santa’s grotto, check out the zoo’s animals and take part in fun games and activities.

Stacey said: “We all had a wonderful day at the Christmas party and seeing all those kids smiling was very special. I felt privileged to have met such young, brave children and to support Scotty’s Little Soldiers.

“It’s a great charity, providing ongoing help and assistance to bereaved British Forces children and most importantly, helping them smile again.”

Army widow Nikki Scott, who founded Scotty’s Little Soldiers in 2010, described the party as the charity’s “best yet”, adding: “Christmas can be a difficult time for children following the loss of a parent and the aim of the party is to provide festive fun and cheer.

“We were delighted Stacey could join us and lend her support, she really helped make it a truly memorable day for all the children.”
