THE Army Arts Society (AAS) will be hosting its annual exhibition at The Young Galleries, Salisbury Library, from Friday 21 October – Saturday 5 November 2016.

The artwork on display will reflect AAS’ varied membership, which consists of serving and retired soldiers and their families. Included in the exhibition will also be work by wounded, sick and injured soldiers from a number of recovery centres.

The AAS hopes to build on the excellent quality and emotional depth of the art shown in last year’s exhibition and will be offering awards including The Serving Soldier Prize; The Sir John Stibbon Prize (for veterans and families); The Wounded, Sick and Injured Prize; and The Photography Prize.

Craft and sculptures, as well as painting and photography, are encouraged at the exhibition and work from renowned artists, such as Richard Salter, a serving soldier and finalist of last year’s BBC’s Big Painting Challenge, will be on show.

This showcase exhibition will run every day, except Sunday, during library opening hours  (10am to 5pm). For further information, contact info@armyartssociety.org.uk
