A FREE mobile app linking Service personnel, veterans and their families living in South East England with helpful organisations has been launched.
Commissioned by Forces Connect South East, an Armed Forces Covenant-funded programme, the Forces Connect app is for Regulars and Reserves and can be used on and offline. Users are directed to a range of sources of advice relating to employment, education, training, housing, benefits, family support, health and wellbeing and crisis support.
Councillor Peter Martin, Armed Forces champion for Surrey County Council and chairman of Forces Connect South East, said: “Our Armed Forces community forms an immensely important part of the South East’s population and makes a valuable contribution to our region and our country.
“Most live, work and thrive without need of extra assistance, however, where they do need additional support, this app will help them access organisations that can provide the help and advice they need in a quick and simple way.”
